Materials and methods: A Cross sectional study was used on cluster random sample
of 500 residents from the displacement shelters in Gaza city from 1/12/2024 to
2/1/2025. Data was collected, the questionnaire included demographical data, a list of
15 war traumatic events, and 17-item PTSD checklist (PCL).
Recommendations
Psychosocial support programs and psychotherapy interventions
are needed. Rebulding mental health services that were destroyed and providing first
aid interventions can help alleviate stress. Further studies should be conducted on
vulnerable groups such as women, children, families of martyrs, owners of destroyed
.homes, and those suffering from hunger and malnutrition due to war conditions
